After talking with David during a discovery call, I told him I needed to ask my wife before getting the program. He said I could do that, but then asked me if I felt I needed her permission to make an investment in our marriage. I had to admit that I did. He told me that as long as I felt I needed permission from her, she would always feel like she had to mother me. Then he said he was going to give me glimpse into the kind of coaching that he gives in his coaching program. "You need to make this decision for yourself. When you let her know that you're going to make the investment because you realize that you need help to become the kind of man she could trust again (I had broken trust with her many times before), and let her know the personal sacrifices you are going to make so the financial burden wouldn't fall on the family, she may fight it, complain, argue, get angry, but when she finally sees that you are resolved to make this work, she will begin to trust you again." It sounded like a risk, but I took the risk. She fought it at first, but when she realized I was moving forward with it, she let go. Weeks later, my wife said that when I told her what I was doing, for us, and was unrelenting in my commitment, it was the first time in years that she began to have hope for our marriage. I couldn't believe it. I am grateful that I took the risk. Our relationship is slowly getting better.

I spent years doing long distant relationships that were phone only. Usually women in other countries. I just couldn't seem to connect with women who lived near me. When I started working with David, I learned some frameworks that were very new to me. I spent time with him practicing them in live coaching sessions and soon started getting out on dates with women near me.
